Residential Skills Trainer

About this role

As a Residential Skills Trainer (RST), you will work with adults promoting their emotional well-being and psychological health in a residential setting, helping them learn/improve and increase the skills needed to live within their community. The goal: enhancing their recovery/wellness while increasing their self-sufficiency and independence. You will meet with clients daily to provide life-skills training which include; food purchasing and preparation, housekeeping and general hygiene, financial budgeting and safety, medication management and navigating public transportation. This position also requires the transportation of clients within a company vehicle.

What we are looking for:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid GA driver’s license with clean driving record
• Satisfactory results of Criminal background check

Preferred but not required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services field (Psychology, Social Work or related field)
• Minimum of one (1) year of previous relevant experience; OR
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with a psychiatric population
